Freshping discontinued March 6, 2026

Freshping is gone.
OpenPing is here.

Freshworks pulled the plug on Freshping. If you're one of the 20,000+ businesses looking for a new home for your monitors, you don't have to settle for a downgrade. OpenPing gives you what Freshping did — free uptime monitoring with status pages — without the risk of another shutdown.

Our free tier has fewer monitors than Freshping did, but it's honest and sustainable. We won't shut it down because we built it with real unit economics. Need more? Our $5/mo Pro plan gives you everything Freshping had and more.

Questions from Freshping users

Will OpenPing shut down like Freshping did?

Freshping was a free product inside a large company (Freshworks) that didn't generate revenue — it was always at risk of being cut. OpenPing has paid plans from the start. Our free tier is sustainable because paid users subsidize it, and our infrastructure costs are low (~$0.10/user/month). We're built to last.

Can I import my Freshping monitors?

Not automatically (Freshping didn't provide an export API). But adding monitors manually takes about 5 seconds each — paste the URL, name it, done. For 25 monitors, you'll be set up in about 2 minutes.

Is the free plan really free for commercial use?

Yes. Unlike UptimeRobot (which restricted commercial use in Nov 2024), our free plan works for any purpose. Monitor your business sites, client sites, side projects — whatever you need.

Why only 25 free monitors instead of Freshping's 50?

Freshping offered 50 free monitors because Freshworks absorbed the cost. We're an independent business, so our free tier reflects what we can sustainably offer. If you need 50 monitors, our $5/mo Pro plan has you covered — that's less than a coffee.

Your monitors shouldn't die with Freshping.
